For beginners or those just re-learning, it's decent. I would suggest that they make the pictures in the book a little more detailed and organized for those who have never tried to crochet before or just really not good with hand coordination.. The yarn is like the cheap yarn you can get from a value craft store.. or value section of the crafting department. Overall it is fun. I bought it to teach my kid (She's 9) but I ended up being the one who liked it more. I made a simple beanie off a you tube video :) it came with all that was advertised in the bag we chose. With 4 yarn color choices, but it was very small.. for the one beanie I made I ended up using most of the green and yellow on it and half of the red. lol it was fun. just not enough yarn :/ but for the price, it's a good start.

Yarn is so small it makes it really hard to work with. I don’t recommend this set for beginners because no matter what the work looks bad

Bought for neice to learn crochet, has everything you could need, much better than I expected, the bag is a decent size and seems sturdy enough, all extras are of good value for the price and suitable for beginners of any age. The wool is a nice bonus, some people have mentioned the quality of the yarn been poor but for the cost it's good enough to learn the basics with and get started.
