Only took about 30 minutes to install,very easy.I already had a TRD air intake system witch is designed and probably built by aFe,looks exactly like the aFe air intake system.The TRD system seems to be designed to work with the spacer,fits even better.Between the two I probably picked up about 25 horse power and a lot of torque.Haven't checked mileage yet but it has to improve.you can feel the low end torque even at part throttle,at full throttle it has a smoother feel and more complete power curve.OH no strange noises at all!!! Follow up on mileage---Haven't chk. exact mileage but I was using about a 1/3 tank of gas driving from Tahoe to Reno,NV. Now I hardly use 1/4 tank and that's driving freeway and mountain driving at high altitude with a 2500' climb.That's a big improvement.

I will try to be short, I am a truck guy and have been forever and have a 2006 Tacoma, the two things I hated about it was the lag is acceleration and no fun to drive but I knew it was a strong Truck pound for pound, so I did some upgrades.NKG Iridium Plugs GREAT!!!, AFE Oil Free Cold Air Intake Outstanding Love the sound when you get on it, and now years later the AFE Power Silver Bullet Throttle Body Spacer 6-38002 and finally I have the truck that I new it should have been. I don't really care about if it saves me gas truck have always sucked on gas you should know that going in, I just wanted it to move when told it to. Yes I know its a truck and not a sports car so In my mind I got the best of both words, the practicality of having a work truck, and when I want to feel good every once in a while, I get on it and whoever is near be knows that it's my special truck as I look in my rear view mirror. I'm done with upgrades and I have always felt that just because they all come off the same assembly line they are all different even if just a little, so in my case this Throttle Body Spacer has put me in a very happy place, I'm no longer sluggish taking off with the air on full blast, and with the air off OMG I love it, I can't speak for other makes of truck but for me I'm so dang happy, and best of all I have no whistle which I did not want. I don't know if its the combination of upgrades and I don't care I'M HAPPY!!!!!!!New update 7-31-16 we pulled our 21ft Boat the 46 miles to the lake for the fist time with the new spacer and now I have what I would call SMOOTH POWER..... going up the same hills that were a problem before are no longer an issue, and I can actually use my cruise control while towing compared to before when the engine would really put the hammer down when trying to keep it at the set speed so I just stopped trying to use it but now it works as good as our Pilot when towing. To my surprise now I have seen my gas gauge is finally not moving as much as before for this same trip OMG GREAT.

As soon as I opened the shipping box to reveal the product box I noticed that the seal label from the factory that keeps the box closed had an additional CLEAR piece of tape over it so right away I knew this box had been opened. Once I opened the box the spacer which is the product was all scratched up and had bolt head impressions on all four mounting holes which indicates that this product was USED!!!!!! To top it off the decal that comes with the product was missing and I put it right back in the box. I have already purchased another one through the company directly and I am most positive it will be brand new with no scratches and a decal from AFE PRODUCTS!!!!!!!

ordered for my '08 xrunner. easy to install and fit perfect. after install went for a drive and it gives a 'sucking' sound kinda like a tiny turbo or something. definately dresses up the engine and with this decided to take off the plastic engine cover to show it off with my intake. with this and the AFE intake i get like 17-19 mg city and 21-22 on hwy not driving super conservative either. id recommend it, but keep in mind the fuel encon improvement wont pay off for the part in decades. so if you gots extra cash and want to toss it in your truck i recommend this.

Fast delivery, appropriately packaged, all parts included. Install was approx. 50-60 mins. Instructions was good. addad a zip tie to the left side of the plastic dust cover for added Peace of mind. Made my 2011 Tacoma feels like a small SUV when stepping on the gas pedal. when driving at higher speeds the truck keeps its momentum well. I can feel the increased tork although I have not needed it as of yet. Got 2 extra miles per gallon so in aprox. 2 years it will have paid for itself..lol. I would recommend it for increased performance. The only thing I would reccomend is, when making the product is an arrow of air flow direction be ingraved to idiot proof the instal.

Simple installation, quality manufacturing and fast shipping. I would buy from this vendor again, happy as a tic at a dog show.If you purchase this product with the TRD cold air intake as I did, when you install the intake tube to the air filter housing you will need to trim the tube.

Six years after having ordered and installed this item. Loving the spunk this added to my low-end torque, I had to have my vehicle smogged. and for the first time, I failed the test. Not due to readings but b/c the CARB EO number on this part does not match the part number I ordered and installed. WHAT! was I surprised. This one apparently is for the early Part #34055 (1995-2001, 3.4L) & Part #47055 (1999-2001, 4.7L) Toyota trucks CARB# EO D516-2 So I got scammed by the seller!NOTE this CARB # should be CARB EO D550-11 VERIFY the sticker on the part matches!

I'm very happy with it. I have a 08 Tacoma and already had put the TRD intake on it. Adding this spacer actually makes it sound like a cold air intake. Without it I'd really only notice the sounds of my intake when I'd hit over 4K rpm. Now with the spacer you hear the whistle as you accelerate. I recommend it. Install is pretty straight forward. My only struggle was fighting the intake out of the way and sliding it back onto the throttle body. I feel like there might be a bit more torque in the lower gears but it's hard to say. Stop reading and buy it already.

Easy to install, seems like a little less lag and a touch more power and torque. Overall happy with the product. I do suggest buying a can of throttle body cleaning spray to clean and remove gunk build up from the throttle body prior to installation.
