I have had zero issues with this gyro, works as it should. Small and compact so its easy to mount. Great for the beginner drifter or drag racer. I will be buying a few more of these for sure!

I like that this is a dual gain gyro. It works very well. The only thing I question is whether it works significantly better than the built in gyro on many of my receivers. Because the radio I have allows me to adjust expo; priority, gain, etc, I’m not really sure that there is any advantage to having this over a receiver/gyro combo. But for someone without that option or who is looking to add gyro without swapping receiver and radio, this is a very solid choice.

So many negative reviews lamenting the steering feel on this gryo are failing to understand that it is designed specifically for drift applications so the steering response is to be expected.Anyway, I installed this in my primary buggy and threw some street tires on it and it makes drift driving insanely easy. I prefer the analog feel and the struggle of learning to do it manually, but I just had to try one of these since everyone is running them now and now I completely understand why. It is really night and day and the gyro does 90% of the work for you. With the right transmitter and receiver you can dial the gun up and down from the transmitter. Setting it up is very easy as the instructions lay it all out for you. If you don't have one it is easy enough to play with the gain and set it and forget it.If you go into this knowing what this is designed for you'll be happy. Don't expect a drift gyro to clean up your race buggy.

I only have limited experience with gyros that are built into receivers up to this point. This gyro is very good and makes a HUGE difference; the car is undriveable without this. This statement is true to all gyros, not just this one, but the purpose is to let the front wheels be active participants in driving, rather than simply foolishly insisting the car try to go exactly the direction they're pointed; it allows the car (the front wheels, specifically) to really grip and keep the line. It's a little incredible how effective it can be.First, you will want to use the 3rd lead so you can change the gain on the fly. I wasted a few weeks adjusting the gain using the pot. on the gyro itself because I wanted to keep my 3rd channel available for another function... It's better to give up the 3rd channel to the gyro, as you may need to adjust it as traction/conditions change.I use it in the normal mode, where it does not dampen the centering of the steering. I prefer this mode. Some fancier gyros will effectively let you change mode with the sensitivity, however this one does not do that.I've learned to use this so gradually that it escapes me what it was I wished I had known when I first got it and was learning it!I'm using it with a digital servo, and having excellent results. There's another gyro on the market very similar to this one that has an analog/digital switch. If you're not sure what kind of servo you're using, it's probably analog, and that gyro may work better for you.I'm using this with a radio that uses a switch for a third channel, rather than a knob. How can you adjust a variable gain using a switch, you may ask? I have Channel 3 low and high set to 30 and 60%, so I can jump from barely any gyro to quite a bit of gyro with the press of a button, and can use channel 3 trim to adjust +/- 30, so I get basically the full range of the gyro from the transmitter and can easily set it high or low without having to painstakingly find the exact position on the knob to set it back to when I need to change it. I actually prefer this to a channel 3 knob!I'd prefer it have jacks on the gyro so I may plug my own leads of any length in, rather than having the fixed leads coming out the side. Minus 1 star for that.

finally got the gyro installed it doesn't work. I've done the endpoint adjustments doesn't like to return to center feels like a ratch when it try's to return to center. tested with another gyro works fine.

This gyro might be ok for trucks or drag racing… but makes your servo return to slow for drifting….
