These rope clamps were too large for 1/2 inch rope. Also, 2 of the 4 prongs that dig into the rope weren't fully separated from the rest of the metal. The metal, however, is extremely strong and heavy duty. To the point that it was sort of annoying to work with.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get a small rope swing set up this spring. These clips are huge and the metal is thick. Instructions were included, so it shows how to prepare the rope for a swing. I have some thick trellis wire they might wok on, too. I have to figure out the design for that trellis first, and find a good location for it to be permanently. Nice substantial clamps though.

These clamps are an alternative to crimped ferrules.Like ferrules, they work best on the right diameter rope or wire.These clamps are 1 inch wide and suited for ½“ or 3/8“rope.They can be made to work on thinner rope or wire but is less satisfactory.There are tools for fastening these but a good vice or a hammer work fine.

Get these smaller than you think you need. I bought the proper size measurements and they were far too large. They did work fine though with some larger rope I eventually used them on
