Almost plug and play on older Craftsman 33 Gallon 6.5HP compressor. Only modification was to cut 1/8" off of the preasure sensor tubing to the compreasor.

Most small compressors have a tank-attached gizmo with power-switch, pressure regulator, safety valve, and tank & hose pressure meters, all-in-one . Something inside broke the RUN switch. This new switch simply screwed into one of the extra air-hose-ports.The power cord & the motor cord were wired to the new switch.Done ! It works perfectly !We did lower the shut-off pressure to avoid excessive run-times.Then,,, removed everything connected to the old gizmo, and re-mounted it so that the new RED-run switch pointed UP, in a safer position. The photos are the new configuration. Notice the 'L' fitting. The old regulator 'port' removed, replaced by a machine screw.

I bought and installed this pressure switch on my air compressor. It worked great for 5 months. I use my air compressor about once a week. It failed after 5 months. To get my air compressor to work again I have to tap the switch cover to get it to activate. It should last longer than 5 months of light use. Very disappointed.
