I'm always on the lookout for fabric markers that will disappear quickly and completely, and these markers do exactly that. The blue markers show up quite well on the lighter fabric, but the white marker was difficult to see. I immersed both fabric scraps in water and it took only a few seconds for the marker to fade completely. I probably could have simply spritzed the fabric with water to get the same result. These pens are about to get a good workout, as I have a large project I plan to quilt in the hoop. I'll draw the lines I want stitched with these markers on the fabric, then use my embroidery machine's camera to 'see' the drawn stitch lines. That will allow me to program those lines into the machine's computer and stitch them out. These pens are very easy to use, and four of them at this price is a great bargain! I will be stocking up on these!

Tested these marking pens on a project that I sewed up making key fobs out of quilting cotton. I used the blue to mark on this light colored animal print fabric and, just as described, the marks disappear after applying water to them. Since I sew, I have used these kinds of pens before but usually the kind that are activated by heat vs water. It's definitely all about finding the right marking tool for your project!

All pens are labeled as bold tip. The pink and the purple markers both disappear within several minutes. In photo you can see where I marked in pink and then purple for my ten grid - only an hour later. I don’t mind that they disappear quickly - better than not washing out. But be aware before you do a lot of work and come back to find it disappeared.
