I only have two complaints: the grip shifter on the handlebar is too difficult to twist; my 8 year old can’t switch the gears at all. I did some reading on it, and it appears that of the two gear-system components (shift lever, and actual shifter), one of them should be changed for a better match; the Shimano shifter requires a stronger pull than this grip shifter can provide.Lastly, make sure you purchase some white lithium grease, or some plain old ‘anti-seize’ for assembly; there is a lubrication interval chart in the manual that calls for cleaning and applying grease to the pivot pin prior to each riding season...well, I just thought I’d check out how involved that would be for me to do later, only to find out that it hadn’t even been greased during factory partial assembly.

This bike is really a super nice bike my son loves it the shocks on this thing make the ride amazing the style , paint everything totally worth the price. I didn't expect it to be this nice!! What a great gift totally happy!!

Shifter doesn't work well. I replaced my it with a shimano thumb shifter. My 8 year old couldn't shift the gears.
