when I first installed this, I did not see any increase in MPG. In fact, saw a decrease! Wasn't too excited about that so I called up AIRAID. They told me that after about 2 gas tank fills, the computer in my Jeep WJ will make the adjustments necessary to recognize the difference being made by the spacer. They were right...sort of...it took 3 tanks and I reset my computer by unplugging the negative battery terminal a couple of times which I did because I was installing a radio and some other stuff. Regardless, the system is now recognizing the spacer and I got all the way up to 17 MPG on the highway and it was still increasing. There is also a lot more power which I'm not complaining about. I have a AIRAID Air Filter as well as a Flowmaster ThunderCatBack Exhaust.

I purchased the Airaid TBS for my 4.0 Jeep Wrangler only after reading numerous online reviews. My expectations were realistic and I did not expect an amazing transformation under the hood.The install was simple and straight forward taking a 1/2 hour or thereabout.On my initial test drive and subsequent road trips I failed to notice any improvement in power, throttle response or engine sound at any RPM level. It didn't even produce the "annoying" whistling sound so many have reported with an Airaid TBS.I attempted to contact Airaid through their website to discuss my results or lack there of several weeks ago. They never bothered to reply or respond...???Overall, Airaid's 310-510 Throttle Body Spacer and their lack of customer support/service failed to impress on any level.

I have 2002 jeep grand Cherokee with the 4.0 I installed the throttle body spacer along with a ram/ cold air intake and had my stock throttle body machined to 62 mm this was one of my first upgrades on the engine and honestly when I did this without doing the exhaust the truck had a crisper throttle response but I had no lowend torque I mean I couldn't even make it up a decent-sized hill without flooring it and I was still crawling, I had too much air going in and not enough going out the exhaust after upgrading the exhaust with 2 and 1/2 inch pipe ,a MagnaFlow free-flowing cat converter and a Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler the difference was night and day! I have also done a ton of other mods such as fuel injectors, high flow water and fuel pumps, can shaft, lifters, pushrods and timing chain, tuner chip, fuel pressure regulator and bunch more on my way to a stroker build! My opinion..Get one ! It can't hurt and if you have plans for future mods it will work well with everything else! Hope this helps!

This product is very well constructed. The machining is very well done, but thats as far as the good comments go.Before installing this item, I was getting 14.9-15.4 MPG, after installing it, I dropped to 12.9-13.4. I immediately removed it and sent it back.Its a waste of time to install for a performance gain.

Considering that this item was shipped to the UK, it arrived in very good time and the packaging intact! The product itself came with comprehensible instructions and was fitted within 20 minutes or so. Have already noticed fuel savings, and low rev response from the engine! Great piece of kit!!

This AIRAID Throttle Body Spacer (enhance off-idle torque from 800 rpm to approximately 3,000 rpm) was added in conjunction w/AIRAID CAD Intake Kit to level-up performance upgrades involving less restrictive replacement Superflow44 muffler + resonator tip. Installation under the hood was completed in about 30 minutes. Took it out for a short 15 min shakedown street test to ensure nothing shook loose/shifted. The 2 components are playing well together as the ECU continues to collect data. Hopped on the freeway (50 mph - 80 mph for a few exits) to give the ECU additional data to compute along with stop-n-go street flow (0 - 40 mph/50 mph). I would recommend a Throttle Body Spacer upgrade as part of a more comprehensive minimum upgrade (exhaust + spacer + CAD intake) to achieve measurable improvements in performance/fuel efficiency "after" ECU is ALSO reset to allow vehicle(s) to re-calibrate/optimize performance (after 50 or so normal driving outings) based on the new data collected from upgrades + driving habits.Won't have value/gas mileage feedback until the aforementioned ECU completing performance re-calibrations to determine overall effectiveness, so I'll post updates once I have something to report.NOTE: When it passes the next CA SMOG test, I'll return to add the 5th star. :)

I did not notice any fuel mileage gain, which sucks because that is what I bought this for. Installed on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Take into consideration that everything else on my vehicle is completely stock and I have heard that this product is best used with an aftermarket intake. I did notice a slight power increase, nothing that puts you back in your seat obviously, but she definitely has a little better throttle response.
