It definitely smells more like rose, than sandalwood, and it's pretty powerful in a smaller bathroom, but honestly not too overwhelming if that makes sense. I did put it in a different bottle, since I like my decor to match, but I like it a lot!

It’s a really cute bottle but the scent is a little much. It calmed down after a few days but I move it out of the room every once in a while. I do like it though.

I don't write many reviews but this definitely deserved it. The Gardenia smells amazing! We have this in our small bathroom and it's just the right amount of scent. Even my husband who hates those kind of smelly scents said it smells nice and is not too strong. If you like less sent you can always reduce the amount of reeds you put in the bottle. Our bathroom is small. About 5x7 or 5x8. I love it. I'm going to buy another for our master bathroom.

The bottle is a good, sturdy, size and there's plenty of reed sticks included. Colors are true to images. The baby's breath in my set is kind of smashed and brittle though. As far as the scent...yuck; it's very overwhelming and smells like gardenias vs. linen! I've had to put this reed diffuser in my basement utility room in hopes that the scent will eventually fade enough to use properly.

When it was first opened, it was REALLY strong. I wasn't sure I was going to like it. It wasn't the "clean linen" scent you would expect. after a few days, it really calmed down and became bearable. Now its a subtle scent to keep the bathroom smelling nice.
