Here's what you need to know: The lower timing cover on the Honda 1.7 is designed to be installed without any seal. Putting this seal in stresses the plastic cover and causes it to break and rub against the crank pulley. Leave all three parts of this seal out! You'll be amazed at how much better it all fits together, and if you buy a new cover it won't break any more. And the car will run quieter without that cover rubbing. The new cover will likely arrive with a similar seal glued in place; peel that thing out and throw it away before installing. The only parts you should use from this kit are the two shaft seals, which of course you could buy separately.
