If you have a Honda Civic, get this kit. It's high quality, OE parts. No generic stuff. I mean, we're talking some engine guts here. Don't try to save a few bucks and get some off brand stuff. Get this kit. It fits perfectly. It's high quality. Highly recommend for your Honda maintenance.

I'm doing this to my 2005 civic ex D17a2 for the second time at 280k miles and the previous Aisin parts all held up for over 100k. This kit has an Aisin water pump, a Mitsuboshi timing belt and an NSK tensioner, all made in Japan OEM parts and all well packed in a nice box. The water pump even had preformed the o-ring seal in a separate little baggy with a backing card to keep its shape, and it snaps into the pump and stays while you install it. I don't give out 5 star reviews very often but this kit was really nice to work with.If you aren't sure when it was done..do this job or have it done soon, because these interference engines will self destruct if that belt breaks.

I installed this kit on a Honda Civic LX 2006, it was the perfect fit. Make sure you buy the longer water pump bolt. This Aisin kit is very high quality and so far I had no issues. Also make sure you get the seals, the belts and the valve cover gasket. Overall a great kit that hopefully lasts 100K miles more.

I've used this set a few times and everything is Japanese sourced. The only knock against this set is it does not some with the updated timing bolt which is a few millimeters longer than the OEM bolt. I had to repair a bolt hole by drilling out and installing an insert (not a helicoil) due to them using the shorter bolt. Had to drop the subframe for clearance.

Why did I buy this? I purchased a 2005 Honda Civic. Unfortunately, I had no idea when the timing belt and water pump had been changed. So to protect my new purchase we changed the timing belt and water pump. If you do this job yourself, do yourself a favor and buy or rent the honda crank bolt tool(couldnt do the job without it.) The belt and water pump have about 4,000 miles on them at this point, with no issues.Pros:1. Works great for its designed purpose2. It was straight forward to install (Couple hours with the right tools)3. Free Returns if I had purchased the wrong partCons:1. I got dirty installing it.Would I buy it again? Absolutely

This kit gives peace of mind to use because it includes parts made by most reliable manufacturers in Japan; NSK, Mitsboshi and Aisin who may be the OEM supplier. If I wish more, they could have provided a tensioner bolt.

This was the cheapest place to order this kit for my car which is a 2005 Honda Civic Canadian Si(D17a2 engine) which is the identical engine number to the American Ex for those of you wondering. With 10,000kms already driven since the installation I now feel it is an appropriate time to leave a perfect review as it has held up great. Would definitely buy again if I keep the car for another 150,000kms. A great buy all around!

Used this timing belt and water pump on my 2001 Honda civic LX 1.8l D18 and it worked perfectly. No issues with installation or with timing after. Quiet bearings and high quality water pump. I am very happy with this purchase. 5000kms already and no issues. (maybe a bit higher coolant pressure than before)Included a genuine Honda spring kit for the timing tensioner.
