Aivituvin Package Delivery Box for Outside

When the lid is lifted, attached metal lift a system of trays for the delivery to be placed on.

Once lid is closed, the parcel slides off the trays – all the way to the bottom of the box.

The front door can only be opened by the owner of the box by unlocking the door.

We built the whole thing, got it leveled bought a big sign for the package drop off and discovered the lid won’t shut tight. If that’s not bad enough, then the wind lifts it up all the way. My husband doesn’t want the agony of disassembling and shipping it back so we’re stuck with it.

First of all, I’ll start by saying I knew I was going to have to put some work into this to make it more robust. For the price, it is very cheaply made & honestly not really worth it but…. I bought it for the aesthetics only knowing I was going add to the structural integrity as this would be used outside.First thing I did was reinforce the entire interior. Anyone can come by and simply kick in the sides or back of this thing & break that thin wood. Second, I put 3 coats of polyurethane on the outside & spray painted the cheap “metal†, then I put clear silicone caulk around the edges to seal it. Third, I replaced that cheap lock.With all that being said I used materials I already had at home so the only thing extra I spent was for the lock.We also chose to mount it on a concrete pad & use a more robust true metal piece to attach to the box & the concrete pad. This thing isn’t going anywhere.As far as putting it together, there are mixed reviews but I had a very easy time. We’ll see how long it will hold up & if that tray will truly hold up yo 500lbs (I’m extremely doubtful).If you are going to use this on your covered porch you probably wouldn’t have to put the work into it I did but just know that if someone wants to get in, that lock won’t stop them.

Great box except the one I received had hinges soldered on incorrectly. As you can see in pictures we tried both ways. When I contacted the seller they offered a $20 refund and a shipping label back to them. Item is unusable and company was of no help. I contacted Amz customer service directly.

Well built and sturdy. Good size, can accommodate larger boxes. The weak point is the lock. Small, nonfunctional (you can open the lock with some effort without combination). Numbers on the lock are very hard to see. This defeats the purpose of the box.

I like that the delivery box keeps my packages out of sight. I only wish that more of the Deluvery Drivers would use the box as several of my deliveries were not placed in the box. Please note that the lock provided can be reset from the outside with a pin. I order a better outdoor keyed security lock from Amazon to secure the box.
