I have used tap sets before but they were never this good. I was able to fix some threads in minutes so the bolt could go in. It was easy and quick.

Worked great. I used the 3/8-16 thread chaser on my engine block to make sure the threads were nice and clean before putting my water pump back on. I also used the 5/16 thread chaser to clean up the threads on the heater hose bracket. There was a lot of rust and old paint in the 5/16 threads and this did a nice job of cleaning that up. Very happy.I had no issue starting these unlike one of the reviewers.

Price is well worth the money, saves a lot of time it would take to remove caliper, to change lug, easy to dress up threads

It’s not a tap and die set like you would think but it cleans inside and outside threads I have used it twice so far and I am enjoying it

Used the thread repair kit on exhaust manifold stud hole to clean out for new studs. And files are nice for my cross threaded bolts ha

The files are a nice addition, I had a new motor mount that had an issue with the threads on one of the M12 x 1.25 studs, the threads on the end of the stud were buggered up. I used the file to start the cleanup process on the stud, it took a little work and some getting used to the way the file wanted to lay in the threads. I moved to the female (nut style) thread chaser and finally was able to get it threaded onto the stud. Once I carefully worked the nut down and back up the stud a few times I was able to get the nut to thread right on to the stud as intended. I am satisfied with this tool set. Chasing threads requires some patience and a little practice but for me this set will save me much frustration and time. The card that is included with the different pieces printed on it is somewhat upside down due to the layout of the storage container, don't know that I will use the card that much anyway. The thread pitch guides that are in the corners are difficult to get out and back into the case, maybe this will get better with use?
