Bin would work well for largish, bulky items. They stack well, but if you want to fill it all the way up, you need to buy the window, to block the opening, which also means you can't get to anything while it's stacked below another one.Unfortunately, between Amazon insisting on shipping these (and most other Akro-bins) in their original boxes, and UPS being none too gentle, they tend to show up with white stress marks, stress cracks, and even occasionally broken. Usually the boxes show a lot of wear and tear before even leaving Amazon (you can tell, because they use packing tape to try to cover the tears in the box.)If Amazon would double box these, they would be a great product for shop, toy or recycling organization.
