Very good if your placing this on a hard floor. I wouldn't use this for carpeted floors since the bottom drawer requires that the fifth wheel can roll smoothly to open. I actually want to purchase another one of these, but that room has carpet. I like how the key for the lock will fold side to side. It keeps you from getting caught on the key if you happen to leave it in the key hole. The handles are also smooth and don't catch on clothing.

This appears to be a pretty nice file cabinet, it's pretty heavy though and it arrived damaged It probably won't be easy to return or exchange. The corners were well protected in the box but someone clearly dropped this on its corner (see pic) during the shipping process. I would recommend you unpack it and check it immediately to file a complaint if that happens. The overall structural integrity seems intact so I will keep it but it's annoying that the manufacturer had it packed so well just to have the shipper damage it. It seems it's already assembled, you just have to unscrew the handles that are inside and turn it around and put on the wheels.

Very happy with this file cabinet! Had been looking on and off for a few months for something to match my desk - it was down to the Alera cabinet and the Sauder unit. I liked the fact the unit ships mostly assembled, but was a bit trepidatious as to the condition it may arrive in, based on numerous reviews stating varying degrees of damage, and having to get a 2nd or 3rd shipment to get an intact order. Well, I spun the wheel, and didn't get a bankrupt....It was all in one piece (except the pieces that weren't supposed to be)!The casters came in a cardboard hardware box, and the handles were inversely mounted on the drawers for shipping. With a long-handled #1 Phillips head screwdriver it should take all of 15 minutes to flip the handles, and screw 20 screws into the 5 caster mounts.The hanging file drawer mounts are stuffed in the cabinet somewhere. I discovered this days after I put it together. I had bought hanging file folders and wondered how they would stay in place....then I looked behind the drawer in the darkness - there were two longer pieces (for the sides) and one short piece (for the back). Had to fish them out with a hanger, but not big deal. These were probably in the top drawer with the hardware box and shifted around in shipment.All in all, I am very pleased! Nothing close to this at Staples, Office Depot, etc. for the price!

This product would have been perfect except for the fact that it is broken and arrived this way. The top drawer is completely broken in two. The only thing keeping it together is the hardware. At first I thought it was just a deep gouge on the face of the drawer, but no, it is literally in two pieces which also causes the drawer to bow in. During final stages of assermbly i discovered the damage. Sad part is carton and packaging wasn't damaged at all, so NOT the fault of the shipper. It was packaged up this way.

Product meets our expectations. We like it a lot. Only gave 4 stars becasue it had to be returned and replaced as first one had some damage. Looks great and works well.

Bought this for my Home Office makeover to go with a stand-up desk and high office chair. This product came well boxed and protected. Its compact but heavy which tells you about the materials its made of. Assembly was super easy with casters being the only major attachment with four heavy plastic and a fifth center castor more heavy duty setting at the front of the unit to help it move easily and avoid tip-over. The handles are turned inside for shipping and easy to switch around. For a self-proclaimed "non-handy man data nerd" the whole assembly took 15-minutes. Its very nice wood and should take precaution during assembly to not scratch. I used the packing material underneath. You do have to flip the unit for the castor assembly and its about 65lbs so may need help unless your super strong like me. During this flipping is where I could see it getting scratched. Going to buy another one now that I trust the quality and usability.

This file cabinet is perfect for my needs. I made the right choice. Medium cherry matches my furniture, looks great, very well packed and best of all, minimal assembly only hardware and wheels.
