Threads did not seem to match original threads. Valve broke in half when trying to install. Threads only went in 1/4 of the way before body of valve broke off. The threads were cleaned before trying to screwing the valve into the base. I have a mechanical background and the valve was not cross threaded. The original defective valve was reinstalled without a problem after removing the broken part. I will look for the original valve and definitely not purchase this product again.

I purchased my All American 25X sterilizer used, and the old original control valve leaked a bit. It was an easy matter to remove it with a wrench, and replace it with this one, and I have no more leaking. Plus, it's all shiny!
