This is the worst product I have ever purchased. When it came the threads were crossed threaded. Also, the large nut is hollow. It's a piece of tin stamped on to a ring. This product gets ZERO STARZ.. Isn't that crazy? I have to give it one star to submit it gets 0 stars junk.

My camper water inlet is old crusty plastic so decided it was time to upgrade. This one is metal and built like a tank compared to what it is replacing. This one comes with new hardware and extra seal ring. This water inlet has both a screen sediment filter installed and a check valve to prevent water back flow. This is well built and not super expensive so a nice upgrade both looks and function.Hope this helps and thanks..

Junk. Appears to be sturdy and quality. BUT, The thread didn't fit hose. After install i had to remove and reinstall the old one.

Hooked up to rv and the threads are wrong, nothing will go all the way in.

Not a standard garden hose thread. Had to get an adapter to garden hose.

Another review mentioned that this was a pipe thread connection. I'm not sure if he was referring to the inside (part that connects to the RV internal plumbing) or the outside (part that you would typically connect a garden hose) but I thought it should be discussed here.To confirm - the outside is a garden hose connection with a rubber gasket inside. These connections are typically (not always) temporary connections. The cap of this inlet threads in quite a bit before seating against the gasket, which I like. Pro tip - add a 90 degree brass elbow onto your inlet and cap the bottom of the elbow. This reduces stain to your hose and inlet. Also good for those with stainless gall paranoia/PTSD.The inside is NPT - national pipe thread. This is typically what the plumbing in your house would require for connections. This connection REQUIRES a thread sealant (like pipe dope or teflon tape) and will leak like crazy if you don't add this. I'm not sure if a lot of RVs have the inside connection as a GHT, but NPT is definitely a more stable connection for our needs. The is especially true for something that has to bounce down the road and repeatedly cycle up and down with pressures. If your inside connection is GHT, you should probably modify the plumbing to fit NPT anyway. Just my 2 cents.

RV inlets are hose threads not pipe threads I would think you would known this. Now I have to take it apart again
