Works great, but I did have a problem this winter with cold air coming in when the dryer was running. The motor unit needs to be in a warm dry location and the cold air coming in cooled it off. The internal door flaps do not seal against pressure so I added one outside as a check valve. The brush head is not very good and it's a pain to take all the screws out of it to remove the hair from it, but at least that is something that can be replaced.

My son installed this amazing Central Vacuum and was ecstatic about the results. He surprised me for my birthday and I could not be happier. I am just getting too old to hall around the upright machines I have been using all my life. This system only appears as an easy, light-weight tube with a nice soft sleeve covering it. The rest of the contraption is under the stairs behind a door and it keeps the noise locked in as well. It cleans the oriental carpets covered with the fur from three dogs and a long-haired cat easily, much faster, and ten times better than all the other fancy uprights my husband has bought for me over the years. I love it and now only wait for my husband to haul the three old uprights out of my clothes closet and take them to recycling!

After three weeks of use, I noticed that all the tubes were filled with mold and this caused the appearance of insects. When I informed the company, they did not answer me at all. I suggest not to buy this.

This is a great unit, with plenty of suction. My only complaint is the vac head is really only for throw rugs. So I have ordered a turbocat vac head. I had one of those in our other house and it worked great.Edk

Power we never imagined, no matter how empty or full the collection canister is, or the number of outlets.We are doing a serious "dust reduction" from our farm house, vented this thing outside, and low and behold, I'm hardly ever sneezing after 2 weeks of just normal vacuuming! I thought these were for "rich people", but given the onset of dust & mold, we are fighting back. The bag & bagless vacuums just blew ultra-fine dust, collecting the big stuff, dog hair, etc., this central vac gets rid of it ALL.Best part, it's quiet enough, now the dogs enjoy being vacuumed... instead of barking at the old units.

Overall great system. The kit is complete and comes with everything you need. I'm very happy with it and would buy it again. The only feedback I would provide to the supplier is better instructions. While it's pretty self explanatory, there could be better explanation around the low voltage connections. That said, I had an issue, and the customer service was outstanding. They were punctual and followed up afterwards to make sure I had everything I needed. It made the entire experience so much better. If you're considering a central vac system, buy this one.

Excellent system and easy to install. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is that the hose switch gave out after 4 months. I ordered a Cen-Tec 99173 to replaceit. The Cen-tac fits the outlets better and so far has worked better (it is sturdier).
