It works - it works good - it's 24 bucks (at the time of this writing). I wish I could tell ya how well this tensioner works compared to others, but this is the first poly strap tensioner I have used. I have an old Uline metal strapping band kit - it is probably 30 to 50 years old - I've had it for about ten years - its' tensioner is a different beast than this one and wouldn't be a fair comparison. I have seen many that look exactly like this one selling for a lot more, and I've seen some that look similar selling for 5 to 17 times as much as this one. I couldn't tell you if they will last 17 times longer, but I can tell ya this looks like it should hold up for a while. All the red painted bits appear to be cast aluminum, and all the unpainted, business end moving bits are steel. For around 20 bucks it's worth the price of admission to me. If my business was dependent on poly strapping stuff – I'd probably gamble and buy two at this price. If one broke soon I'd order the more expensive tried and true brand in a hurry, and keep the second Zueda tensioner as a spare. I digress. It works – works good. This is an extraordinary and versatile item for securing cartons, pallets and other items to be shipped.Ther is a tensioner that easily and nearly effortlessly tightens the 5/8" wide PET strapping. Once tightened, you slip on and then crimp a banding clip using the sealer tool.PET is easier and safer to use than steel banding or even polypropylene. With 1,000 feet of PET banding and 100 sealing clips this kit is complete and easy to secure cartons and other items for shipping or storage.These days packages and cartons we ship sometimes arrive burst open or damaged. Using this banding method, you can increase the chances your shipments will arrive reasonably intact.Even around the house. Instead of using sticky shipping tape to seal storage cartons, this can provide more secure closure, especially for heavy or bulky items. It can also be used to secure other stuff, like flexible polypropylene or PEX piping, heavy hoses. misc. lumber and other building supplies.

This is a nice piece of equipment and very well crafted. It does the job. The ratchet provides lots of leverage to get the strapping tight. Strapping of various widths and both plastic fiber and steel strapping will work in this tool. I use it to bundle freshly milled green lumber to try to restrict warpage during drying. It also works as a temporary strap to secure loads on a trailer.
