There is no element included. It uses Allstar part 40220 (paper type) or 40222 (stainless type) which are sold separately. It is made from high-quality aluminum and has a black anodized finish. It is backed by a 90-day limited factory and sold individually.

Have used several of these and never had a problem. Don’t forget to purchase the Alstar mounting brackets separately

So far the filter housing seems to be good material and the ends with #8 JIC seem to be solid enough, I bought the element for it but haven’t installed it yet. Using this filter for a fuel bulk tank. I’ll know how good it is when I hook the fuel tank up to a pump then update this!
