I have this Epiphone Special I with a short scale and wrap around bridge. The tension was high, and the strings were not easy to fret. I thought that maybe if I put a trapeze tailpiece it would slacken the strings and make them more "slinky". It did the trick. I have 10's on there there but might go up to 11's. The unit was short enough and the mount was also short enough to mount with our any modifications.

Le cordier supporte la tension sans se déformer et le changement de cordes est facilité. Je l'ai monté sur une vieille guitare folk Takamine de type dreadnought et le sustain a été amélioré. Notez qu'il faut un sillet de chevalet assez haut pour que l'angle avec la table soit suffisant. Sinon, le cordier pourrait toucher la table de la guitare.
