I will note I am reviewing this but did not keep it and did not wear it on the mountain (my son and I downhill mountain bike). On the good side it's light and seems easy to wear. It's also well constructed and I'd think it would last a few seasons. On the downside the S/XS size I bought for my son has a small front area and I just didn't think it had enough protection area to merit keeping it. Ended up going with a Fly padded vest which has more coverage, though doesnt have the quality this alpinestars piece does.
