Stained Wooden Cobra Stand - 8 Inch Size
This intricately carved stand measures approximately 8 inches in length while folded, and opens to approximately 8 inches between each tip.
The legs are interlocked; no assembly is required! The tips of the stand are shaped like the head of a snake, and hold most objects perfectly, while the feet spread wide to provide balance and stability.
This stand is perfect for displaying special items and is frequently used for holding abalone shells for smudging or incense. Showcase your favorite crystal ball, ornamental bowl, temari ball (Japanese thread ball), and more!
The carved wood comes with reddish brown stain, which can vary from the images. Sizes may vary slightly due to the hand-carved nature of the stand.

This is a stand for lightweight things. My crystal ball is much too heavy to use this as a stand so some common sense needs to come in play when using/handling it. If I yanked on it or put 20 lbs on it, I would not be happy with the results. I used the stand for my Abalone Shell. My shell is 5.5-6" and it fits in nicely. Despite how flimsy it looks, it hasn't fallen or dropped the shell. I have it on my dresser so I am in the drawers a lot and the stand don't budge even with me pulling them out or pushing them in. Although all the wooden furniture in my room don't exactly match, none of it is light so I stained the stand (of sorts) mahogany to make it darker. (I say "of sorts" since my stain is not really a real stain but a colored marker that is suppose to be stain.) Had I used a real stain, it would have been much nicer but for my needs this worked well so I wanted to let you know, the color can be changed since the seller left it natural. Each is one piece so there are no ugly glue marks or joints that would show up when stained. The stand holds my shell up so no more worries about the shell scratching my dresser top which is the main reason I wanted it. (That and it looks a whole lot nicer!) I am very pleased with this purchase.

We bought this to hold a stone and it works - for a small stone. It's not as sturdy as we had hoped though intricately woven and interesting, it's not very sturdy. Will not function as a trinket dish either. It will essentially hold a small sphere or rock and that's about it. We're keeping it but disappointed over all. Had it been bigger, it might've served our original need.
