I really could have used this phone holder/lyre clip when I was in marching band...except for the fact that there were no smartphones when I was in marching band. Even though I don't march in a band anymore, I do have all of my music digitized and stored on my iPad (and iPhone). I thought this was a really neat idea and wanted to try it out. It works great and really is a no-brainer if you're currently in a marching band or pep band.

The beam isn't square enough to fit in the saxophone's socket without considerable effort, and the clamp doesn't open wide enough to accommodate modern phone sizes.

It is wobbling from side to side with each move of the saxophone. The problem is in the plastic holder which is not very firm. It can be used only when the player is not moving at all. Otherwise it is difficult to concentrate on the score.
