I bought it because I thought the red color would be easier to see under my LED shop lights. It is easier to read than an aluminum finish.My problem with this ruler is the zero mark is about a quarter of an inch from the end of the ruler. That gives you the potential to be off a quarter of an inch on any measurement if you forget to allow for this.I decided to cut off the quarter inch thinking that would solve the problem, but the measurements on the reverse side were not in register, so now I have one side that is right on but the reverse side is off about 1/32You might as well use the wooden yard stick you get at the big box store.

The ruler arrived on time and is exactly as described. The etching is clear and very visible, and when compared with my old trusty ruler it is very accurate. I love the center-finder marker which cuts setup time down and is very easy to use. No more math calculations are needed for center-finding steps.
