We have strange wind flow around the front of our home, lots of updrafts which cause flags to tangle around the flagpole within a couple hours of being hung. I bought a cheap plastic "tangle free" mounting clips, but they never did much.I did find that upgrading to a heavy weight, high-quality flag made a big difference. A cheap USA flag might weigh 8 oz, and those definitely will get tangled up. I found a heavy duty cotton USA flag weighing about 1.5 lb, and it hangs perfectly.But there are other flags I like to fly on occasion, and mostly they're only available in nylon, lightweight versions.On a whim I tried these. FANTASTIC! Heavy duty, with ball bearings to facilitation rotation about the pole. Now my lightweight flags still fly awkwardly at times (catching updrafts and all), but now they come untangled quite readily from the flagpole.I highly recommend trying these if you have issues of flags getting wrapped up and tangled on your flagpole. Excellent, high quality product that really does make a difference.

I have gone through several iterations of the hardware used for securing a flag to display on a pole. I have to rejoice in saying that this is the one that works - have been using it for several weeks and the flag has not once wrapped itself on itself as it did with all the other hardware. Easy to install and properly designed so I am very pleased and highly recommend this if you are looking for a quality, functioning item to resolve this issue.

So far these have met my expectations and are working extremely well. The original plastic flag clip rings on my pole kept binding causing my flag to wrap around the pole. These rings spin smoothly and have kept the flag hanging freely except when the wind blows just right and allows the flag to lay on top of the angled flag pole. As long as the ball bearings don’t rust and seize up, these should work well for me.

Great quality, easy to use, smooth spinning, and tangle-free flag flying. Our flags were always tangled and ended up torn as we live on the water and always have strong winds. Our flag has not been tangled or stuck at all since adding these spinners (and even added to our old flag pole). Only wish I would have purchased sooner!

I use these on a 5 foot aluminum pole mounted to the house at the usual 45 degree angle. I have used the set around a year now and have had no problems with it in the upper U.S. Midwest. The price is reasonable. I do take the flag in on very windy days (to save the flag from getting shredded), but it is otherwise out night and day in rain, heat, cold, snow, etc. They work well for me.

I've only had these Flagpole Ring Set with Bearings for a few weeks and they are working great, the flag hasen't wrapped around the pole yet. They fit my 1 inch pole really well. As far as durability, time will tell. I will be greasing the bearings with bearing grease (not WD40, or other spray oils) to see if that extends the life. Some mentioned they seize up after some time.
