Aluminum blade is 1 1/2" wide x 1.6mm thick with a high-impact ABS molded head. Graduated in 16ths on both sides. Head is 9" wide and graduated in 1/8ths. Precision made.

Excellent item, I wish I had purchased this years ago. This is light, well built. and has good value for your money.The Ruler section of the T-Square is 36 inches long, which is perfect. I have used the T-Square about 20 times since I purchased it, and the 36 inches is just long enough, but not to long. The 36 inches along the Ruler is large and easy to see, and has IMPERIAL or Inches on both sides. I really did not want the METRIC system on one side.The top section is about 8 inches, and has 3 inches on each side of the T. I guess you might want a larger T-Section if you were using this for construction or large jobs, but for me the 3 inches is good enough.

Works well, convenient to use, measurements are accurate. But it looks to be bent to the left. Not a huge issue and doesn't affect my drafting a ton. But if you're using it for marking cuts on large wood or something else be cautious. Naturally bent about â…›" to the left from base to end.

I really like Alvin products. Unfortunately, my wife had to replace this t-square for a larger one. Very easy to return and replace with another larger t-square. Sorry that the larger Alvin t-square would not be available on time for my wife's class.

A T-square in a 12-inch length is very handy at times but is uncommon and can be hard to find at a level of quality equivalent to longer instruments. Most 12-inchers are all plastic and in my experience fairly breakable. But this one from Alvin is perfect: carefully made, sturdy, and built to last. The crossbar is plastic, but it is well-designed, strong, and securely riveted to the aluminum blade. The additional scale on the crossbar is a good feature. Recommended.
