I used these as strap tie down anchors to secure some batteries in position. I was a little skeptical at first, but they are very strong. As a matter of fact, the straps will fail before these do. They are marine grade, stainless steel and very durable.I secured them with small bolts, and they are not going anywhere. The straps fit perfectly through them, and when tightened, they will hold the batteries very securely. I am extremely happy with the purchase of these tie downs and find them to be a super value for the price. They get 5 stars from me.

I’ve used these as tie downs for bungie cord and strap tie downs all over my utility boat. These are said to be stainless steel. They look like stainless, but who knows for sure until they’ve been in the weather for a few months. My utility boat is painted in shades of flat green. It’s a working boat for fishing and hunting. To eliminate the shine and enable paint to stick I coated them in an automotive rust converter available in most auto parts store as a spray or brush on. This is a very tuff coating. Then spray can painted.

I bought this for a fuel tank strap system..I have 1.5" velcro straps to use, but these are about 1" across.I returned them, but they would work if I had smaller size velcro.
