Everything went perfect 28900 for cpu tests on a fan heat sink. Definitely recommend. this chip has no on board video. And that is a good thing. Use a high end video card. Trust me I had to get rid of the 8500G. The on board video make them run much slower when compared to the same CPU without on board video. The 8500G use about half of the CPU processing power to run the on board video. 8400F is perfect.

Everything went flawless. Used a b650m-a msi MB with it and it posted on first boot. My board was flashed to a Feb 2024 bios out of the box and it all came together. I did flash to this months bios because there is specific effort towards optimizing the AMD 8400 and 8700 chips. There was no passmark benchmark info on this Cpu yet but it scored 24800 for cpu tests on a fan heat sink. Definitely recommend. Don't forget this chip has no on board video.

People give this CPU a bad reputation. This CPU performs great with my Gigabyte a620m Gaming X AX motherboard and my Gigabyte RX 7600 XT at 1080P, and probably could handle upwards of an RX 7800 XT or the RTX 4070. Also, the 65W TDP of this CPU lets you use pretty much any cooler you want, I went with a 120mm AIO, but the stock cooler would do just fine with this CPU. The only reason it's 4 stars is because the Ryzen 5 7500f exists and is better value than this on Ali Express, but, those who don't want to wait too long or don't trust Ali can buy this here and get similar performance.

I am not sure why people get on amazon to give reviews for products they don't own. A guy at my work purchased this cpu to move from 5600 and ddr4 to a 8400f and ddr5 and loves it

The AMD Ryzen 5 8400F is not a bad cpu. Price needs to come down to about 100 pounds, then is would be good for price to performance. Had watch a lots of technical videos about this cpu, all bad. Thought I would still but it, arrived with 24 hours. Tested on a Asrock A620M Pro RS, system overlooked the cpu right out. It now reaches a 4.8ghz instead of 4.7ghz. Tested with a RTX 4060 Gigabyte Eagle at 1080p. Very impressive performance, most games were reaching 100 frames. So I would recommend this cpu, just the price needs to reflect it.

Un CPU pas très puissant.Je l'utilise avec une rtx 4060 ti 8go(Je joue en 1440p)Quand je lance un jeux elle chauffe beaucoup trop vite (65-72°) mais dans le jeux on et a (50-60°) donc c'est correct, et aussi dans les chargements elle peut vite chauffer et revenir normal.Mais dans des petit jeux elle reste bien mais ne vous attendez pas a quelques choses d'incroyableJe la recommande quand même mais pas pour les jeux récent ou pour les prochains.
