I recently built a PC with this absolute powerhouse of a CPU, and it has great quality, considering its value for the price. My PC performs very fast and well with this CPU, and best of all, it is silent!

This product is great for anyone looking to go gaming or setting up for coding.I built this entire system and would recommend if you want to do a budget build with an AM5 socket. I have played quite a few games with a 4060 TI graphics card. With getting 60 - 75 fps which is the max my monitor can do so it may be able to go higher. With these games I have no lagging or crashing and my computer runs smooth and I have not done any overclocking at all.For the price you won’t regret the purchase.Games areRed dead redemption 2New colossusSkyrim with heavy modsDead spaceWitcher 3

The Ryzen 5 8500G is not something I'd recommend for anyone who can afford a little extra to go for the Ryzen 5 8600g. However, it is still a good processor and it does what I need it to. I was on a very strict budget and the 8600g was outside of it. The good about the Ryzen 5 8500g is that it is a fast CPU with great onboard graphics. The main two problems I have with it are its limited PCIE lanes, making it terrible for upgrading to a dedicated GPU later down the lines, and the fact that its price is son similar to the 8600g that it makes more sense to buy that. The 8600g has enough PCIE lanes to afford a good dedicated GPU later down the line and it is slightly more powerful.

I bought this cpu to ensure that I could update the bios on an ASUS strix x670e-f motherboard that I wanted to run a Ryzen 9 9950x cpu in. (The default bios was not supposed to support a Ryzen 9 processor.) It turned out that I could update the bios with the Ryzen 9 installed. Later I found out that the motherboard did not support thunderboltEX4 either. I had to buy another motherboard with usb4 built in. So, I decided to build an additional "stripper" pc because I now had a spare motherboard and cpu. No video card I used the onboard video from the processor. It has no problem driving 2 monitors. I used the stock air cooler that was included with the cpu. (I did add a couple more case fans to ensure that enough air would flow through the case.) Now I have 2 new computers!

Was bought to test out if it is good enough to replace a Ryzen 7 5700G setup.Pro 1: Worth cost of entry to AM5. It essentially matches the Ryzen 7 5700G in performance with less and weaker cores (more on that in the cons).Pro 2: Extremely easy to cool.Pro 3: Decent beginner gaming. It can play AAA games at 1080p w/ low settings ~30 FPS. It can play Indie games at 1080p with mid to high settings depending on the game.Con 1: Not a true Zen 4 CPU because 4 out of 6 cores is smaller and the MHz is cut down. AMD calls them Zen 4c cores.Con 2: Annoying IHS that traps TIM.Pro Tip: The Zen 4c cores are actual desktop CPU cores and not laptop cores like Intel’s E-Cores.*** UPDATE ***No longer recommend as entry to AM5 because the 8600G has dropped significantly in cost.

I bought 3 of these and it was a serious mistake. The on board video make them run much slower when compared to the same CPU without on board video. They use about half of the CPU processing power to run the on board video. Now I need to sell them on ebay and buy the same CPU without on board video. (I have tested them side by side)

Nothing wrong with this plays elite dangerous on high settings with a separate graphics card rtx 7600 and I see maybe %40 max on my usage I also used a thermalright assassin heatsink and it's runs very cool. there is a but if you can afford 50 dollars more go for the 8600g is much better something about extra threads could help but I see no issues gaming
