I got these because I wanted a nice matched set, and I only had one of a slightly larger variety. These came packaged nicely, and the finish on them is nice. I can't tell if the tinting is a film, or not.Overall not bad. I haven't used the pipette yet, but it seems well made as well. I don't think it'd fail to do its job.I'd recommend these to someone who wants to get a set for A to B comparisons, and is on a budget.

These are nice whiskey tasting glasses with proper shape and all.Glass pipette is a nice extra for adding water to your whiskeyif that's your thing. Only problem I have with these glassesare that they are not clear but has a smoky coloration to them. The smoky tint prevents me from seeing the natural color of thedram. For me, it is important to be able to see the actual color ofwhiskeys that I am drinking. It may not be a deal breaker for you.Bourbons have varying natural colors and cannot have artificial coloring addedwhile some Scotch, Irish and Canadian whiskeys have caramel coloring added to themfor more pleasing visual appeal. To each his own ...

While these whiskey glasses are attractive, they are unfortunately not particularly successful for their stated purpose. The glass is too thin, the weighting of the base is too light-- which means a person could readily tip it over-- and it has a slightly awkward feeling in the hand due to the sharp angularity of the design.Had the base been given TRIPLE the weight that it has, I would give this set five stars. Since the glass is so light and thin-- especially in comparison to a Glencairn glass, I have to reluctantly give it a three. Also, swirling is awkward because of the angle of the glass. So, nice gift, maybe, but I'd recommend going with a glencairn.
