I decided to replace the exact same units in my home with these units. I disposed of the 23 year old units by dispensing them into trash bags. Amazingly the 23 yr old ones worked just fine. Also I like how these new onnes attach to a wall. The extinguisher has a metal eye ring hole as part of the unit. The connection is to a simple metal hanger that they provide. So you simply hang or remove the extinguisher off of the eye. Very smart, very easy! No more complicated plastic doo dads to unhook to use the extinguisher.

We bought these a few years ago. When my wife set a cast iron dutch oven on fire (oil fire), I was sure glad I had them. One squirt and the fire was out before it had a chance to spread.

Some friends of mine had a fire that totaled their house, and maybe could have saved their house if they had some fire extinguishers on hand (or working smoke detectors, but that's another story). Seeing what went wrong there made me much more proactive about having extinguishers; before I only had one in a kitchen cabinet, now I have one mounted centrally on the wall on each floor, in the garage, and every bedroom. These came with sturdy mounts, and are rechargeable, which you should do every few years to make sure they're in great fire-fighting shape.

Having worked in Public Safety I wanted to carry a Fire Extinguisher in both of my vehicles that had enough fire knock down capability. I intend to carry the fire extinguishers in a container so I do not require a vehicle mount and the third fire extinguisher will probably end up being hung up in my garage. Many times I have seen people attempt to put out a vehicle fire with the smaller 2.5 lbs. fire extinguisher and they run out of dry chemical after a good initial attempt, these fire extinguisher's are 5 pounders and should be able to put out a lot of fire, anymore than that you need a fire truck.

Had a fire in my track loader. My son pulled the kiddie fire extinguisher out, pulled pin, squeezed handle, and ... nothing! Very fortunate a little snow put the fire out but I could easily have lost the whole machine. Extinguisher was in perfect shape and gauge read good. Did a little research before buying my next fire extinguisher. Hands down best is Amerex. DON'T BUY KIDDIE! It's junk and a fire extinguisher is NOT where you want to save money. My cheap kiddie almost cost me a $15,000 machine (fortunately no life risk ... this time!).

The shipping and tracking information for my order was all messed up. Amazon said talk to the seller there is nothing we can do. The Seller was unresponsive on weekends. So I left an appropriate review. Then today, the rest of the order appeared. What I got looks good and what a Intended to order. So... price was decent, product is good, but shipping communication needs work. (All told, I ended up getting everything only one day late from the promised time.)

No issues so far. These are beefy, real man fire extinguishers, with metal handles/triggers. Not the cheap plastic stuf in the consumer First Alert and Kidde ones. These could even make Trogdor’s fire go out, so he wouldn’t go burninating all those innocent peasants. At some point I’ll test one of these and they should be refillable. Good size for one per floor to keep your house most tippy-top.

This fire extinguisher makes a valuable addition to my workshop. All-metal and well-made. Contrary to what some other reviewers have said, it does indeed come with a wall mounting bracket. But if you prefer a secure mount that can't make the extinguisher come off the wall with a hard knock, you might consider buying the bracket that has a strap to securely hold the unit to the wall.

I bought the set of 3 so we would have one in the basement where we have a fireplace, the sunroom where we have a space heater and one for the kitchen. These are really heavy and for some reason they were shipped via Fed Ex and required a signature. Not sure what was up with that - not the normal delivery from Amazon that doesn't require a signature. Instructions on the canister easy to figure out and I feel much more prepared and protected. Worth it for peace of mind.

Looks great mounted on the wall. Hope we never have to use it.

Like the title states, it is a great product, but when it's being delivered the sender demands a person to sign for it. If you don't sign on first attempt of delivery, you have now opened pandoras box with FedEx, if they are the delivery vendor. I had to chase this order down for about 2 weeks. End of line drop off vendors like Staples are even worse. Be warned about who delivers your product.

This came with the hook to install. The seller of the product is very responsive as one of the 3 had a broken anti tamper seal, they offered a refund of one tank as these are not returnable items. I'm happy with the resolution.Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase and recomend the product from this retailer. The items arrived on time and was well packed. One cannot put a price on safety.
