Like anything, this takes a little practice but after making about 5 haywire twists with it, I've gotten it down to a science. I used to murder my fingers trying to manually put a haywire twist in 44lb wire but no more! Several of the reviews that said you can't make a double ended wire scared me - but I assure you that you can. You just need to make sure you are putting the tag end into the holes and not the main wire - easy peasy. I attached a photo showing a double ended wire I made with this tool

It will take some time and practice getting use to how to use this but once you do you will find it as a go to tool in you tackle box.

Not sure if this thing actually works, but it is about 1/2" wide by 2" long and 1/8" thick. It's made of aluminum. I'd be surprised if the cost-of-goods exceeds 25 cents. Holy smokes, what a profit margin!

Makes extremely neat leaders fast and simple. This tool is %100 worth it if you make your own leaders with wire.

Having trouble tying the twist with my hand. This product was a dream to use. Kinda tough in the #13 wire and up range, but that is expected with heavy wire regardless. Great!

I use this with 45 & 60# Malin single strand wire for trolling leaders and it works great. Practice making hay knots at home before trying to use this tool on a rocking boat.

Takes some practice and patience. But once you've got the technique down it's easy
