I bought two of these, since I'm installing systems in two cars. The subs fit perfectly in the boxes. There was a slight fishy smell, but that's just the adhesive/sealant. Wasn't that strong of an odor though. The boxes aren't wired, but I just removed the terminal and soldered speaker wire to them, and put the terminals back in, took less than 5 minutes. I would recommend these for sure.

My Rockville W12K6D4 did not fit. I had to sand grooves into the box to make it fit. Sounds great now that it's all installed though. Quality seems great.

Arrived in unmarked box, but offered a very clean fit between subwoofer and cutout.Terminals aren't for BIG power but will fit 6 gauge wire if you work at it. Sealed terminals and glue all around.Didn't notice any fish smell. It smells like MDF and glue and *might* offgas in hot weather, but thats pretty normal for anything made with MDF and glue.Quality carpet installation all around enclosure. If it's made in usa, this is an absolute deal for 50 bucks.

I put a deep excursion 12" sub from Gold wood in this box, a long with an Attend 400 watt amp. The box is sturdy, and I know this because I had to cut a hole in the side to mount the amp in the box. The carpet is glued down very well, and was a bit of a bear to trim around the amp.The box itself is well sealed, with all seams caulked. Plenty of air for a sealed sub, and the sub really hits hard. Overall, can't beat this box.

Very unfortunate that I write very many Amazon reviews and this box works as intended it is wrapped well and sealed with caulking on the inside unfortunately the moment I took it out of the box it smelled like rotten fish and it is almost unbearable once it was put into the car.

Wow where to begin. I bought this because it was the right height for the corner of the trunk of my car. What a mistake. It came out of the box with torn carpeting, just like the others have said. I could see voids in glue joints from the inside of the box as well. I caulked the inside & got some caulk on the front of the carpet. Then I decided what the heck, "I'll just strip the carpet & rhino line it like I wanted in the first place" The car is a 65 Fairlane I plan to show so appearance is important. Well when I did that I noticed it was really cheap sup-par MDF. Really low grade stuff. Oh and it's super thin the front is 1/2" the rest is thinner 3/16". Not what you want for a hard hitting sub. 3/4" is desirable. 5/8" is livable. This is junk. Oh & the only screws in the whole box hold in the terminal cup. There is no way this would hold up for a long time under any big power. It would flex the thin walls and eventually break one of the poorly glued seams. I was considering putting 500w RMS in this thing through a Kicker 12" CompR. Now it's going into the garbage. I would say you get what you pay for but the way this is built it's overpriced. You'd be better off with cardboard. I will end up buying an A-Trend box or a Belva & downsizing to a 10".
