Had to take apart a friends lift motor in order to figure out the wiring to install this motor on my boat lift. Once that was done, pretty easy and works great.

I used this to replace another motor PN -- this had similar dimensions and was close in suction power. Works like a champ now. I ordered a gasket which I didn't need since the motor sits on a permanent foam cushion built into the vac. Amazon let me return the gasket. Overall was very satisfied with price and delivery.

This replaced a burned out original motor that was about 20 years old. The swapping of the motor was simple with regular tools. You do need a square bit drive to remove the motor access screws. The motor comes with stripped and prepped wires for you to wire in. I simply cut the wires off the old motor that had the Crimped spade lugs already on, and used small gauge wires nuts to connect them to the new motor as can be seen in the images. This makes the installation easy as can be. Customer service by this seller is also top notch as the original order was damaged by the courier. They shipped out another new motor to me and inlcuded a pre paid shipping label to returned the damaged item. My new motor seems quieter than the original, from wear and tear over the years with improved suction. I could not be happier with this purchase and the excellent customer service.

This goes in a Bissell BG 10 carpet extractor. It is the direct replacement for the original. Remember to use defoamer in your recovery tank to ensure the longest life for your vacuum motor.

Was able to save quite a bit of money doing the repair myself. The item seems to be of equal quality as the original motor which lasted 20 years. I'm not an appliance repair man but this was something most anyone could accomplish. If in doubt, get someone to help you, easy repair but as always better to ask for help when dealing with electrical components than regret it later.

Motor came in two days as promised. Replacing a blown blower motor on a boat lift. Motor almost identical to existing motor. Installed turned on and ran fine for about 10 seconds. The sound changed to a high pitch screech.Powered down looked at motor and the cover of the turbine section of the motor came off and it cannot generate suction without it. Re-installed cover but did not realize cover was dented from being blown off initially. Again cover comes off and makes a terrible noise worse than before. Pull motor and realize the dents were not letting it spin freely. Reshape cover with small hammer check that it spins freely, secure it with duct tape and for now it is working properly.Needed to get boat out of water and did not have time to return it. To be fair this did not give the seller an opportunity to address the issue. It does lift the boat in about the same time as the previous motor 2 minutes for a 10,000 lb rated boat lift. Fingers cross duct tape holds going forward.
