the screws and bolts would have fit together. The seller even sent an extra screw and bolt and we still came up short- couldn't get the screw to thread through the bolt. We ended up having to go to the hardware store to get another screw and bolt- naturally they didn't have an identical match. Our shelf is in an open area of our kitchen so we ended up having to buy a full set of screws and bolts so they would all match. If the parts were better, I would easily have given this shelf a 5-star.

Shelves are beautiful and clearly very sturdy. Likewise the hardware to attach the side panels seems very good. However, when I went to mount on drywall using the supplied hardware I had two disappointments. Using a rubber mallet to edge the plastic insert into the pilot hole, one snapped in half. On a different one the plastic insert went in fine but as I screwed in the retaining screw it came loose and fellinside the wall. I ended up having to get Walldriller anchors from Home Depot to mount them securely.Also the edge on one shelf was dangerously sharp. I cut my thumb while trying to remove the plastic that protects the shelves in transit. So, caution is advised.
