Works right out of the box (though it's a bit of a pain for the GE dryer - that you have to actually take the darn door off and disassemble it just to put a bulb in!) - but this is not the fault of the bulb. Good price. Nice and bright, and durable.

I purchased these and one bulb lasted a week and the other didn't even last a month. Dryer bulbs are hardly used except when the dryer was open so you would expect them to last longer. The fact that they both died so quickly makes me question the product. Doesn't seem to be a fluke since it happened with both bulbs. It was actually too difficult to return them so I had to eat the cost and now need to buy others.

This bulb is a good replacement for the burnt out unit into a Speed Queen dryer.Dryer is only 6 years old but the original replacement is already discontinued.
