This is the second time I’ve purchased these, it doesn’t get any better for a small light. Super easy to install, cut a 4†hole and run some wire. They pop into the ceiling and could not be any easier. Adjustable light color (frequency) and give out great coverage.

These Amico 6" pancake LED lights are very bright and have 5 different settings for super bright, daylight, warm white, soft white, etc. They're thinner than 1/2" drywall so you can cut your hole exactly where you want the light and if there's a ceiling joist across the hole the light will still sit flush with the drywall cdeiling. Mine are not on a dimmer so I can't comment on that, but my 4 are wired in series with 14/2 wire and there's absolutely no flicker on any of them.I dinged one star on this review because the connecting wire between the LED light itself and the junction box is only 12" when stretched tight. That's a few inches short of ideal; you want enough length to mount the junction box to a joist (as you're supposed to by code) and still get your hands between the light and the ceiling to connect the two ends together. It's workable with 12", unless there's something already attached to the joist just where you need to mount that junction box (not the case with me - this time). I'm very satisfied with these LED lights, but just giving you all a heads up on the connecting wire length.

A year later and we still love these lights. We chose the recessed lighting because it was a clean look and it did not hold dust like the hanging lights do. The thing I love about these lights is if you space your lights and you just happen to hit a rafter, you do not have to move the light and find a way to fix the hole. These lights are so shallow that they will fit directly under a stud. Great product. Low energy consumption. Little heat radiating.

I have installed a ton of these can-less slim lights over the years. The CCT type are great as they work for all customer preferences allowing you to buy in bulk. That said there are some really poor quality versions being sold now.I am not a fan of the ones with plastic j boxes. Unreal how hot the power supply runs on those things and that flimsy plastic is concerning, also the ko's are infuriating.I like that these have metal j boxes, and overall I haven't had any of the issues I've experienced with other types sold on Amazon. Much better quality, good product for the price
