The copper extraction tools are the only ones that really work. The plastic ones are garbage and the other steel tools are too thick to fit easily with larger gauge wires. Spend the extra money and save yourself hours of time.

We used this tool for removal of misplaced pins in RJ-45 to DB9 adapters. Cheap tool and it works great. Don't expect it to last forever. We pulled about 25 pins out. It is still good for more pin removal. If the thin metal sleeve gets bent, however, the tool will be toast.

The green extraction tool is p/n 91067-1 and the red extraction tool is mislabeled with same number. The correct p/n for the red extraction tool should be 91067-2. The red tool is for 20 gauge pins. The green tool is for high density 22 gauge pins. Updated: The replacement parts were correctly labeled and sent. Upgraded review. 5/12/2023 Updated: Downgraded review. All THREE tools were returned per instructions. I received an email acknowledging this return. The replacement tools came quickly that included 3 correct tools. I was not given credit for the 3 I returned, thus I was billed again for two of these tools. I know of no way to correct this problem. The supplier is not the problem. I can not find anyway to resolve this problem with AMAZON.

This is the AMP extractor (brass) that actually works but is very fragile. The ones with steel or plastic don't fit in the termianals. These AMP tools generaly last for several pin removals so i bougt two to get through a new avionics install where i have to remove and relocate about 20 wires.Shipped fast with no complaints.

Weak tool. Any "normal" amount of pressure is too much for this tool. It will bend. Removing terminals requires pressure to push in on the terminal, thus, bend. So, if you are just hoping to install and remove one or two terminals, OK, give it a try. Otherwise, buy a more substantial tool.

Concur with all the one time use comments. Didn't even last the job. Came partially squished but figured ill still give it a try. I do this for a living and needed something in a filler.
