Your cart is empty.These regular chrome molybdenum steel probes have 7/8" outside diameter and heat-treated, wear-resistant bits. Swedged on the bit end and bored to 11/16" diameter – providing ideal clearance for easy sample removal. Nine inch cross handle threads onto each probe. 33" soil probes retrieve 13"L core sample. May be used with AMS extensions or hammer attachment(Sold Seperately).

I love this soil probe! I was a bit hesitant of the price point, but as soon as it came in the mail it was love at first sight. Very good quality for probing my tough clay soil in my area. I use it for soil samples and it works great. I like it because I can put my full weight on the probe and it did not bend. I am a short 200+ pound guy so that is a lot of weight to handle. Great quality product and you definitely get what you pay for.

Absolutely love it so far. I’ve only used it a few times today,the metal it definitely thick enough that’s it’s not going to bend when sticking it in hard soil, that was one of my main concerns is that I did not know how solid of a tool it would be due to how tall it is. I really like how the top handle Unscrews so that it stores very compactly. And lastly, I purchased this yesterday and it arrived today :-) I could not believe that it came so fast, obviously that would depend on where you live and where they ship it from. All in all… Very solid tool .

Our pasture was mostly dry, but had a little rain in the last week. As expected, it went down pretty easily in the first 4-5 inches and was very hard to go further. It didn’t bend with vigorous pushing, but felt like it might eventually.

I don't know how people are bending this product. My husband was able to take a 6" soil sample with ease and we have clay type of soil. I would recommend this to anyone. Our purpose was to get several soil samples for evaluating nutrients in our farm land.

I Purchased this to be able to see how my lawn was doing. I Check various spots to see how much water is penetrating the ground. This also helps you see what my be causing issues in your lawn and how compaction is involved. I’m happy with my purchase!

Length is good length. If it’s too short it won’t go down to ground very much.
