This adapter connects my Nikon DSLR to my microscope easily. Overall photo quality runs fair to OK. Not eye popping great, not horrible. What I linked most is that I can manually select my shutter speed and ISO, which gives me a level of control I can't get when using just my cell phone camera.Overall, I'd say this is great for an amateur like me, but if you are a professional and need perfect clarity and color, it may not be a good fit for you.

Mounts sturdy to both the camera body and the microscope (AmScope tested). Comes with two eyepiece ring adapters (30.0mm and 30.5mm). However, regardless of how well you focus the microscope, I have found that the lens cannot produce crisp images whatsoever. I realize this is an f/0 lens (no aperture), and any kind of movement is problematic due to the low amount of light flux. However, this isn't where the problem is coming from - its purely a shortcoming in the optics of this adapter. Light source, exposure, and ISO do not mitigate the issue.
