I have never been so dissatisfied and disappointed with a purchase as I am with this telescope. I had a telescope 25 years ago that worked better than this, and was easier to operate. The telescope needs a mirror alignment before it can be used, this is not in the description and neither is the fact that there is no instructions on the box. This page also states, easy returns, satisfaction guaranteed, free shipping with orders over $75 and quality products. You ask for an exchange or a return and they offer a return, then send you a shipping label that you then find out that YOU pay for shipping and insurance to return it which is approximately $200 then you find out that you will have to pay a restocking fee of 20%. The scope was $250 to purchase and $250 to return so you get zero money back in the end and you have no telescope. Does any of this sound like satisfaction guarantee or easy returns, or free shipping for orders over $75 for “quality products The device to align that mirrors is not sold or shipped with the item so that is an additional cost FYI. Amscope is the worst purchase that I’ve made in my entire life. AMSCOPE customer service has yet to help this situation in three weeks time. Pushback and run around is all that you get. This company can not be trusted.Update: after going round and round with this Amscope company and getting my lawyer involved I was able to get a full refund without the restocking fee after sending the scope back. Made sure I got everything in writing from the company via email. Filed a report with BBB. Placed reviews on the company’s website that were never published but it was after all my efforts that I was able to get refunded, at first I just needed to exchange it then it went south from there. Buyer beware here.On the bright side, they do make quality scopes, actual metal legs and scope. Better quality from any other scope that I’ve tried.
