I wasn’t expecting too much but this now has held up to daily practice and doesn’t seem to shed much.

I really was chancing this because of the price point but it is actually really well balanced and responds well. No professional expects anything from a bow at this price but it actually delivers way over its price point. Pleasantly surprised.

I had to reorder this bow because the carrier must of thought a violin bow in a box could handle the weight of an elephant. The bow was horribly damaged. A new bow was on my door step in perfect condition 6 days later. 5 stars for customer service

The bow is great quality and the weight is standard for all levels of violin players. As an advanced violinist..I prefer the carbon fiber to the wooden bows because with wood..getting the right weight is hit or miss..whereas with carbon fiber the weight is consistent. This particular bow meets those standards at a very good price since I do not re-hair the bow myself and thus replace the bow every 6 months or so. The hair quality is great. Very good value

I am not an established violinist, so that being said, I like this bow, balanced nice and for the price it's hard to beat.

Reminds me of the first couple of bows I had as an adult beginner: heavy, with a hard piece of "leather" that, in this case, looks like it was painted in red enamel. Frankly, this bow is no better quality than cheaper student bows you can buy online.Experienced players know this but, for those who don't, starting out with a heavy bow can be advantageous to get your basic coordination and tone together. But I would encourage players, regardless of style, to experiment with a lighter bow as soon as your basic technique allows it. You'll find not only more control - even if you're a fiddler who doesn't use a lot of off-the-string bowing or subtle accenting - but you'll enjoy more flexibility in your sound and gain an deeper understanding of the effects of speed versus pressure versus sounding point. In short, a lighter bow will open the door to expressive playing, give it a try.

This bow is decently made. It is definitely not quite as good quality as others I've used in the past, but it will work as a backup bow.

I was looking for a replacement violin bow, and came across this one which ticked all the boxes: wood made, with natural hair, full-size and new. I tried it after a wrist operation and although it first seemed longer and heavier than the one I had, in the end it turned out to be an excellent choice. I am not a professional player so this might not be everyone’s favourite but it is a good bow in the hands of an advanced yet occasional player.
