Bought this thing cause I had trouble finding a vacuum leak in the evap purge solenoid that I assumed I had fixed. Replaced my injectors and had a reoccurring leak that I couldn't find for the life of me! This thing took literally 3 MINUTES to give me the answers I needed. Tools such as these are absolutely invaluable when doing auto work!

I bought this machine thinking I was only gonna use it a few times but since receiving it I've probably used it a couple dozen times. It only takes a few seconds to start making smoke once set up and I just use baby oil (mineral oil with fragrance) which is cheap and easy to get. I've used it to find evap leaks, exhaust leaks, oil leak, and vacuum leaks on a variety of vehicles. The unit is portable and uses the vehicles battery which is nice if you do mobile repair or go to friends houses to help them fix there junk. Not long after having the machine I got a call from a friend who was in town at a parts store and his car was surging and bascily undriveable. Hooked the machine up right in the parking lot and found that it had blown out an egr valve gasket causing a massive vacuum leak (also found where his valve cover was leaking from). Took a job that would probably take an hour and made it a 10 minute job. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the oil condensate drip when you shut it off but I think they all do that.

I received one full of fluid so im guessing it was used and wasn't making any smoke.

Great unit, helped easily troubleshoot my car exhaust vacuum and exhaust leaks. The smoke heating element in my unit was defective and my unit would stop producing smoke after a while of using, but customer support helped troubleshoot the issue and was able to send me the replacement heating element part so I can switch out (installation was essentially plug and play). Unit is back to working condition. Thank you! A+

This machine is so good and produce a lot of smok+air pressure so u run your test without the need of an air compressor. I got it to test my car and in 2 minutes I was able to locate where the leak was . It's a little expensive but it's worth it from my experience.

Works well for the price, will get you by.Don't overfill the oil reservoir though or it won't produce very much smoke.
