I very much prefer Anchor's black to DMC's black 310 floss. The Anchor floss is just a bit fluffier and fuller, providing more coverage so you don't see so much of the fabric color underneath the stitches. The piece in the attached photo was stitched on 28 count linen, 2 strands of Anchor black. The photo was taken directly under a bright lamp so you can see a bit of the fabric underneath the black stitches, but in normal lighting it's not noticeable at all. Good stuff!

A little tricky to thread needles but it's strong as you need if you need more threads... like 2 or 4 strands.

Been a fan of Anchor for years. I use other brands but for color fastness and better coverage Anchor always seems to do a better job
