Didn't realize these NMO cap were made from plastic. Not sure how long they will last but I was under the impression that they were made from brass or maybe zinc.So far they work and price is cheap. There's a small print on the base to help seal your mount from dust and moisture when not in use.

When you’ve drilled your unit and are changing, it doesn’t get any easier than removing the antenna and screwing this cap right on. Easy and affordable, yet protective! Great little caps!
