I've had products similar to this in the past (the ones shaped like Rays) but wanted an alternative so thought I'd give this one I found on Amazon a try. It works well, seems to work as well as my previous ones. Basically you attach them to the side of your hot tub and let them float, and they absorb oils that skim along the surface. I also use them to clean the residue off of the edges of the water line before giving them a wash. I don't see a lot of oil buildup so I assume they work well!

Larger than our last one by quite a bit. Material is really nice quality and it even looks nice. I appreciate that I has a leash for keeping it out of the way. Does a great job with surface oils in the hot tub and I love that it's washable and reusable.

I wasn't quite sure how these would work but they've been great so far at skimming the scum off the hot tub. They're easy to clean up and also work for a sponge on the side of the hot tub.
