I hung a wreath on this. When I say it’s a strong magnet, I mean it’s an exceptionally strong magnet. I saw a review that said it was so strong it would snap on your fingers. I found out quickly that this is the truth. Be careful separating them, or your fingers will pay the price. The two pack was a great deal for the money. They go on the door with a satisfying snap, yet come off with a firm tug. They’d probably be able to handle pretty much any kind of decoration you could think of. I just had a great idea. I’m going to hang the other one on my fridge, for my measuring spoons I can never find. :-D

Not 140, more like 40 and that's being generous.My 100lb magnets hold over twice as much weight as these. Great design and all, just need stronger magnets. I had to put another magnet under this one to keep it from sliding.Update: after my initial review I realized that I had compared these unfairly. When tested on the same surface as a 100lb magnet these actually did better.I'm updating this review to 5 stars.

These work well for a spring/fall jacket, but I’m not sure they will be strong enough for my winter coat.

We ordered these to take on a cruise to a colder climate. they are prefect to hold lighter jackets, scarved, hats, vests, caftans! Very useful and mostly strong enough. We used the ships heavy duty hooks for our heaviest coats!

Strong, hold a lot of weight

These are NOT Neodymium magnets. They are just plain steel magnets that only hold around 20 pounds. Could not hold a heavy coat soaked with rain. Slid down the door till it fell off. I had to put a drop of silicon glue on each magnet and let it dry overnight and NOW they work to hold about 30 pounds, but the magnets alone are terrible and it is a lie that they are Neodymium.

I needed some coat hooks for a metal door. These are perfect! They are beautiful and heavy. Exactly what I was looking for.
