Blue Light Explained
Macular Degeneration Blue light (HEV) penetrates all the way to your retina and has been shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that are similar to those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss. Many eye care professionals have concerns that the blue light exposure from digital screens might increase a person's risk of macular degeneration later in life.
Digital Eye Fatigue Short wavelength, high energy blue light scatters more easily than other visible light and makes it not as easily focused. When you're looking at your digital screen that emit significant amounts of blue light, this unfocused visual light reduces contrast and can contribute to digital eye strain.
Sleep Disruption Blue light is very important in regulating circadian rhythm - your body's natural wakefulness and sleep cycle. Exposure to blue light during daytime hours helps maintain a healthful circadian rhythm. But too much blue light late at night can disrupt this cycle, causing sleepless nights and daytime fatigue. People who use their electronic devices before bed have a harder time falling and staying asleep.
Why Not Block All Blue Light?
It's well documented that some blue light exposure is essential for good health. Research has shown that high-energy visible light boosts alertness, helps memory and cognitive function and elevates mood.
In fact, something called light therapy is used to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD) — a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons, with symptoms usually beginning in the fall and continuing through winter. The light sources for this therapy emit bright white light that contains a significant amount of HEV blue light rays.

Fits my 43 inch LG tv perfectly, only about a millimeter smaller than the screen height wise. Easy to install with no air bubbles, and the screen protector comes very clean. There is no dust/particles attached to the screen, which is a problem for other screen protectors. There is tape attached to the outskirts of hte screen protector, and when removed the glue residue in visible on the tv. But when the tv is on at any brightness, tit's as if there is no screen attached. Would purchase again as a gift for someone, and would recommend to anyone who cares about eye health. Blue light is known by the scientific community to cause eye strain and damage, so everyone should get an anti-blue light filter for all screens of all electronics. There are other colors of the spectrum which also cause distress, and hopefully some day soon there will be products for all harmful colors/wavelengths.

I tried to use this for an outside tv. It was loose fitting, made the glare no better just warped and diminished the picture so much it was like looking at it through a fog. It was easy to install but it’s only attached around the edges. It sits on top and doesn’t cling to the screen. It’s too thick and opaque. Sorry I didn’t take a picture.

I was hesitant to buy this product but it amazed me how well it worked. It fit my 43 in Toshiba with Fire TV perfectly, bubble free and easy to install. Just remember to remove the adhesive one by one to align properly. My eyes almost don't hurt at all having a 4k with high resolution, it really filters blue light.

Installation wasnt too bad. It was a bit of a challenge to get it to stick and stay stuck. it seems heat adversely impacts the 'stick-ability' of the adhesive.. Make sure its clean first

Terrible product, waste if money, I don’t feel a bit of difference in brightness and now makes it hard to watch the tv from distance, it creates a reflection. Also, fir a bit doesn’t fit my Samsung, it’s now like a bubble.

Measured several times to make sure dimensions matched tv but what was received doesn’t fit. Plus the bubble free installation is unlikely when it has a strip of 3M along all 4 sides to stick it to the tv screen which would raise the screen protector off the screen near the tape creating a bubble.
