I used it with the adapter to 1/4-27 thread. It looks good, holds the shade firmly, and was not expensive. I would buy it again.

Bought this for a little antique table lamp that was missing its finial. I was worried it might not match the threading, but it worked perfectly and matched the antique brass exactly. You would never know there was a replacement. Beautiful finish, weight and design.

The finial is attractive and goes well with my antique lamp. The inside part of the piece that screws on fits perfectly, but the top, decorative part, does not fit it. I will keep, because the inside screw will hold the lampshade on, but am disappointed that the decorative part is not secure.

I was surprised how easy it is to thread it on the pole last time I got something similar. It was very difficult to get this thing in this one was going quick and easy. I think they added something into the design.
